A safe and welcoming place to stay, Maitai Valley Camp is located just 6 km from Nelson city centre and offers affordable camping in a peaceful, bush-like setting. It’s an ideal spot for families, couples, and travellers looking to relax close to nature while staying connected to the city.
Surrounded by beautiful heritage trees and riverside scenery, guests can enjoy a walk along the river, explore the surrounding hills by mountain bike, or cool off in the nearby swimming hole. For extra relaxation, guests can also enjoy the sauna located within the campground, operated by Ahi Mahi Sauna Nelson.
The camp is dog-friendly, so well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay with their owners. With easy access to Nelson’s shops, cafés, and attractions, Maitai Valley Camp makes a perfect base for exploring the region.
