
About Briar’s Gully
Briar's Gully provides basic amenities, including water, toilets, and rubbish collection. The Waimate Lakes Reserves are open from mid-September until early May.
Waimate Lakes:
Off-peak season: Rubbish removal and cleaning are carried out weekly.
Peak season: Rubbish is removed daily, and cleaning is undertaken twice a day.
Recycling facilities for glass have also been introduced. Please rinse all glass items (no broken bottles) before placing them in the designated recycling bins provided on-site.
The sunny and sheltered camping grounds provide easy access to the lakes, rivers and local townships (Kurow, Otematata, Omarama and Twizel).
